Porcelain Inlays / Onlays

As an alternative to composite fillings, porcelain inlays are attractive and equally durable. They also have an exceptional amount of strength, which makes them an appropriate choice for supporting weakened molars or back teeth. Inlays and onlays can protect and restore teeth that are decayed, have already undergone extensive restoration, or are subject to heavy chewing. Inlays and onlays are different from crowns, as they do not cover the entire tooth; they only protect a particular part. This requires less tooth preparation.

At Millcroft Dental Care we can also customize porcelain inlays and onlays to meet your natural tooth shade, giving you a look that is more natural and attractive. The porcelain material used is the same as that in crowns and bridgework. Porcelain inlays and onlays are similar in appearance to composite-based tooth restoration materials, but are found to be stronger and more durable.
